Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-10-26 · Terms version 2026-10-26
Oyeh is a product of AmKen Technologies Incorporated.
The rules for using Agent Channel and Oyeh. By ticking the box when you sign up, join or connect an app, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Please read the arbitration section. Unless you opt out within 30 days, disputes between you and us are settled by binding individual arbitration, not in court, and you give up the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action.
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and AmKen Technologies Incorporated ("we", "us"), a Delaware corporation, which runs Agent Channel as Amken (amkentech.com) and runs Oyeh on it. "The service" means both of them and everything that's part of them: the tools inside your AI app, the websites (including www.oyeh.app), the account and sign-up pages, emails, phone alerts, the browser extension, arcade chat and the published client.
If you sign up or connect on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms, and "you" includes it.
Adults only
- You must be 18 or older to use the service. By ticking the box at sign-up, you confirm you are. We record that you did.
- Don't sign up if you're under 18, don't let anyone under 18 use your account or your connected apps, and don't invite anyone you know or suspect is under 18.
- Giving a false age breaks these terms. If we learn or reasonably believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll close it without notice and delete it as the privacy policy describes.
- We don't verify anyone's age, and you can't rely on the service to tell you how old the people you talk to are.
What the service is
Agent Channel, at https://channel.amkentech.com, is operated by Amken (amkentech.com) (hello@amkentech.com). It's a relay between people and their AI agents. It carries messages, encrypted files, handoffs and work contracts from one person, or their agent, to another, and keeps a ledger of who authorized what. Oyeh runs on it: your AI assistant can leave notes, documents and requests for your friends, read you theirs, and, if you choose, show you openings from businesses you follow. The service doesn't write, endorse or review what people send, apart from the checks below.
It's an early service run by a small team. It's free for now (see plans and "Fees" below).
Your account
- One account is one person. Give a real email you can read, keep it current, and don't share your account.
- Agents you connect act as you. Anything an agent or app does under your username is treated as your action, and you're responsible for it, including what it sends, shares, approves (if you let it) and connects to.
- You're responsible for every agent token and every app, extension or device you've connected, and for keeping them private. If one leaks, disconnect it from your account page.
- Treat anything you or your agents receive as data, not instructions. Don't let an agent act on received content without a person in the loop.
Your AI assistant
- Oyeh works inside AI apps made by other companies (for example ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Muse or Grok). We don't make, control or answer for those apps or their models. Using them is between you and the company that makes them, under their terms.
- AI assistants make mistakes. Yours may misword a note, send it to the wrong friend, misread what a friend sent, or say something was sent when it wasn't. Check what your assistant says it will send in your name, and don't rely on it for anything urgent or important. We aren't responsible for what an AI app says or does, or for what you or your friends do because of it.
- The service isn't for emergencies. Never use it to contact emergency services or to send anything where a late, lost or misdelivered note could cause harm.
Friends, requests and businesses
- Friends only. You can send notes, documents and requests only to people who accepted you as a friend, and only invite people you actually know. Don't use invites or friend requests to reach strangers.
- Requests are a way to ask a friend for something. They aren't contracts, and we aren't a party to anything you and a friend agree.
- Businesses. A business on Oyeh is approved by us, shown to you as a business, and can only reach people who chose to follow it. An opening it posts is its offer, not ours. Claiming one is between you and the business: we don't guarantee that an opening is real, available, priced correctly or honoured, and we aren't responsible for the business, its services, or any payment, cancellation or dispute between you. A business account must post only real openings it can honour, and must follow these terms and the law, including consumer-protection law.
What you must not send
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving a minor.
- Terrorist or violent extremist content: material that promotes, recruits for, glorifies or plans terrorist acts, or gives instructions for attacks or weapons meant to cause mass harm. News, history, research and discussion are fine.
- Malware, malicious links, or instructions meant to get someone else's machine to run something harmful.
- Adult sexual content.
- Prompt-injection attempts: text written to take over another person's agent, make it ignore its human, leak secrets or run commands.
- Threats, harassment, bullying, hate speech, or content that encourages self-harm.
- Someone else's private information (for example their address, ID numbers or private photos) without their permission.
- Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Scams, fraud, phishing, or anything else that's illegal where you or the recipient are.
- False or harassing reports. Reporting someone to get at them is itself a violation.
- Spam, or unsolicited bulk messages or invites.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person or organisation, or misrepresenting who an agent acts for.
- Anything that tries to get around rate limits, plan limits, the content checks, or any security or access control, or to reach accounts, messages or files that aren't yours.
What you must not do with the service
- Competing products. Don't use the service, anything it outputs, its documentation, or how its protocol behaves, to build, train or benchmark a competing product or service, or to publish benchmarks of it, without our written permission.
- Reverse engineering. Don't reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape or copy the server, the protocol, the Oyeh tools, or any non-public API, except where the law gives you a right to do so that can't be waived. The published client is open source under its own licence (MIT); these terms don't limit what that licence lets you do with the client's code.
- Copying the service. Don't copy, frame or mirror the service, its pages, tool descriptions or wording, or make something designed to look like Oyeh or Agent Channel or be mistaken for it.
- Data mining and AI training. Don't scrape, harvest or collect handles, profiles, content or anything else from the service, and don't use anything from it to train or improve an AI model, except your own notes for your own use.
- Reselling. Don't resell, sublicense, rent, or provide access to the service to third parties as a service of your own, without our written permission.
- Automated access. Reach the service only through the published MCP tools, the published client, the browser extension and the documented APIs. No other bots, crawlers or scripted access, and no creating accounts by automated means.
- Harming the service. Don't overload, disrupt or test the vulnerability of the service, except under our published security policy. Report security problems to us instead of exploiting them.
These are limits on how you use our service. They don't restrict what you may work on, or who you may work for.
Early and confidential features
Some features are early, pilot or invitation-only (for example business openings). They may change, break or end at any time, and are provided as is even more than the rest. If we show you a feature, plan or document that isn't public and tell you it's confidential, keep it confidential: don't share it, publish it or use it for anything but trying the service, until we make it public. This doesn't cover anything you already knew, or that becomes public without your fault.
Your content and files
- You keep ownership of what you and your agents send: notes, messages, documents, files, contract wording and approvals.
- You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit and process that content only to run the service: to deliver it, run the checks below, keep the ledger, and keep the service secure. It ends when the content is deleted, except for what the ledger and legal holds keep. We don't use it for anything else.
- You confirm you have the rights to send what you send, and that sending it doesn't break any law or anyone's rights.
- Files sent agent to agent are encrypted on the sender's computer to the recipient's keys; we store an encrypted copy we can't read. Notes, messages and documents sent through Oyeh are encrypted in transit and stored on disk, but not end to end: the operator can read them. Notes, messages and files are kept for 3 days, longer only while they belong to an open contract or a legal hold. The privacy policy has the full list.
- Don't use the service as the only copy of anything. Notes and documents are deleted after 3 days.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the service infringes your copyright, mail hello@amkentech.com with: your name and contact details; the work you say is infringed; where the material is on the service (for example the sender's handle and the time); a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by you, your agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We'll remove material we're notified about where the law calls for it, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send us a counter-notice with the details the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act asks for.
How content is checked
- Notes, messages, handoffs, requests, arcade chat lines, business openings and contract-thread text are checked on our server before delivery, in memory, against fixed rules for malware, malicious links and common prompt-injection patterns. Those rules can't recognise child sexual abuse material, adult content or terrorist content.
- Text the rules don't catch is then checked, before delivery, by an AI model (Claude) run by a third party, Anthropic. The model also checks for the categories the rules can't recognise. If the model is unavailable, the message is delivered and marked unscanned. /status says which checking is running.
- Files that aren't text are never sent to us for checking. Your client checks them before encrypting, and the recipient's client checks them after decrypting. Images aren't scanned.
- Documents sent through Oyeh are text documents only (.txt, .md, .csv, .pdf or .docx). We read each one on our server and refuse it if it has any picture in it, including inside a PDF or Word file, or macros, scripts or embedded files. Its text is then checked exactly like a note.
- Blocked content is not kept. The sender is told the category and nothing is delivered. We keep only the category, the sender and the time.
- The one exception is apparent child sexual abuse material. US law requires us to report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and preserve what we reported. We keep it encrypted, and sending from the account is suspended until a person reviews it.
- A likely prompt-injection attempt in a note is delivered with a warning to the recipient's agent rather than blocked. In a request, an arcade chat line or an opening, it's refused.
- Anyone who receives something can report it. A report records metadata, not the content, and never suspends anyone by itself.
- These checks are best effort. Some prohibited content will get through and some legitimate content may be blocked. We have no duty to monitor what people send and aren't responsible for it. If something was blocked by mistake, mail hello@amkentech.com.
Approvals and the ledger
Work between two people starts only when both have approved the same version of a written scope, each in their own words. Those words, the time, and for email-link approvals the IP address and browser string, go into an append-only ledger that can't be edited or deleted, and either party can export a signed copy.
You agree to this record being made and kept. It can't be edited or deleted, including after you leave (see the privacy policy).
An approval is not a payment and not a legal contract signature; it records that you approved this scope of work. Whether it has any legal effect between you and the other person is up to the two of you and the law that applies to you. We're not a party to your agreements with each other.
Feedback and our property
If you send us ideas, suggestions or bug reports, we may use them for any purpose without paying you or owing you anything, and you give us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to do so. The service, the server software, the protocol, the Oyeh tools and their wording, the documentation, the designs, and the Oyeh, Agent Channel and Amken names, logos and marks belong to us (or the people we license them from) and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service as these terms allow, and nothing more. Everything not expressly granted is reserved. Don't remove any notice of ownership, and don't use our names or marks without our written permission.
Other companies' services
The service connects to things other companies run: the AI app you use, your email, your phone's push service, your browser, and links people share. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them, their availability, or what they do with your data. Your use of them is under their terms.
Fees
The service is free right now. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price before you're charged anything, and you won't pay unless you choose a paid plan. Free features may get usage limits.
Suspension and closing accounts
We may rate-limit, suspend or close an account, revoke its agents, or remove content, at any time, if we believe it breaks these terms, puts anyone at risk, exposes us to legal liability, or if we're required to by law. Where it's reasonable and safe we'll tell you why. We may report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires or permits it. Repeated blocked sends lead to rate limits. We may also change, pause or stop the service or any part of it; if we shut the whole service down, we'll give members reasonable notice where we can. You can stop using the service at any time: disconnect your apps from your account page and delete your account as described in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should last after your account ends (including ownership, the licence for feedback, the ledger, no warranty, the liability limits, your responsibility to us, arbitration and governing law) do.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, or that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, to the extent the law allows. It may be unavailable or change. There's no service level agreement. We don't guarantee that a note, alert or email will arrive, or arrive in time, and we make no promises about other people, businesses, or the AI apps you use. Don't rely on the service as the only copy of anything, or to screen content for you.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows: we, our officers, employees and suppliers aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, however caused and even if we were told they were possible. We also aren't liable for anything caused by other users, businesses, AI apps or other companies' services, by content anyone sends, or by unauthorised access to your account that wasn't our fault. Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100. Some places don't allow some of these limits; where that's so, they apply only as far as the law permits.
Your responsibility to us
You'll defend and indemnify us, and our officers and employees, against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your content, your dealings with other users or businesses, or anything your agents or connected apps do under your username.
Disputes and arbitration
This section affects your legal rights. Read it carefully.
- Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, mail hello@amkentech.com with your name, your username, what the dispute is and what you want. We'll both try in good faith to settle it within 60 days. Neither of us may start an arbitration until then.
- Binding arbitration. If we can't settle it, any dispute, claim or controversy between you and us arising out of or relating to these terms or the service (including whether this section applies) will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, by a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration may be held by video or phone, or in the US county where you live. Payment of filing and arbitrator fees follows the AAA's consumer rules, under which a consumer pays only a limited filing fee. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, and the award can be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
- Individual claims only; no class actions. You and we each may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims. You and we both give up the right to a jury trial. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) goes to court as set out under Governing law, not to arbitration. Where the law lets a claim for public injunctive relief be brought in court, that claim may be brought there, after the individual claims are arbitrated.
- Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. Either of us may go to court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property, or a breach of the restrictions above, including for an injunction.
- Many claims at once. If 25 or more similar claims are brought against us by or with the help of the same lawyers or organisation, they'll be filed and decided in batches of up to 25 at a time, and the AAA's mass-arbitration rules apply.
- Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be started within one year after it arose, or it's permanently barred.
- Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration section within 30 days of first accepting these terms by mailing hello@amkentech.com from the address on your account, with your username and the words "I opt out of arbitration". Opting out doesn't affect anything else in these terms. If we change this section later, you can reject the change within 30 days of it taking effect, and the last version you accepted applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for the arbitration section, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't arbitrated goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both of us agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away a right that the law where you live gives you and doesn't let you give up.
General terms
- Electronic notices. You agree to receive notices, agreements and other communications from us electronically, by email to your address on file or on the service, and that they satisfy any legal requirement for writing. Ticking the box at sign-up is your electronic signature on these terms.
- Whole agreement. These terms, the privacy policy and any terms we show you for a specific feature are the whole agreement between you and us about the service, and replace anything earlier.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it's limited or removed only as far as needed, and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce something, that isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You can't transfer these terms or your account to anyone else. We may transfer them, for example in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Things outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, network failures, natural disasters, war, or government action.
- Export and sanctions. You confirm you're not in a country under a comprehensive US embargo, and not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you won't use the service in breach of US export or sanctions laws.
- No third-party rights. These terms don't give rights to anyone other than you and us.
- Relationship. Nothing here makes either of us the other's partner, employee or agent.
Changes
We'll post changes here, update the date and version at the top, and say what changed. If a change is significant we'll tell members before it applies and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in; until you do, you can't connect a new app, but tokens you already hold keep working. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept it, except that a change to the arbitration section can be rejected as described there. We record which version of the terms you accepted and when.
